| FUN
RUN AND DOG WALK - 2002 |
| A
great day was had by all at the who attended the Fun Run and Dog
Walk. We have so far raised £450 with more to come in. 31
entrants took part and had a wonderful day. The RSPCA had organised
hot soup which was very popular with the entrants after they had
finished their 9km walk. Two volunteers form the Sutton Voluntary
Bureau were dressed in dog outfits & went round the course
raising awareness and some money too.
Sue
Akeroyd had kindly donated several prizes - to the fastest runner,
youngest entrant, coldest looking person, muddiest dog, etc. She
also acquired boxes of donated dog food, courtesy of Andy
Brown from Premium Pet Foods which Ian is kindly collecting
for either our local Animal Collection Office, or Putney Animal
Hospital, or both. |

| BARNDANCE
- 2001 |
| The
RSPCA Sutton Branch have run a successful barn dance for
a few years now, sometimes as many as 150 people enjoy
the evening. It's proved very popular with our barn dancers
and enjoyed by all ages.
We have more recently used the school hall at Cheam High School,
Chatsworth Road, Cheam but we are always open to new venue ideas
at a reasonable hire fee.
We normally serve a selection of quiche & salad, followed
by gateaux, & a raffle;
This event
normally raises about £300.00 however we have been
unable to arrange a BarnDance event for this year so far. |
