SUTTON ANIMAL CLINIC

The Animal Clinic in Sutton High Street was closed due to expiry of the lease. We are currently working with Sutton Council regarding disused premises in Wrythe Recreation Ground, Carshalton and we hope to be able to complete building repairs and refurbishment so that we are ready to open in 2005.

As our Animal Clinic is currently not up and running, we have introduced our Voucher Scheme to cut the cost of animal treatment for residents on income support, benefits or pensions.

Our Clinic is for those who cannot afford to take their suffering pet to a Vet.

The Clinic first opened on March 11, 1938 and during that time, it has helped 1000's of animals in the Sutton area. The Animal Clinic now costs us the best part of £20,000 per annum to run, and ALL of this expense has to be met by fund-raising activities by Sutton's volunteers, which is why we are so grateful for the donations of the people in Sutton, because without your generosity, our Clinic would not survive.

At our Clinic each year we see & treat up to 1,000 pets. Last year the Clinic treated over 800 pets from this area including cats, dogs, parrots, ferrets, mice, budgies and more. Our vet, and our team of Clinic volunteers work very hard and are very dedicated to the animals that they care for.

Owners who use the Clinic are urged to donate as much as possible to help us meet our Clinic costs.
